On Tuesday afternoon, a leading far-right advocacy group with a militia arm in Colorado issued an “urgent” call to action to its members to flood a school board meeting in Douglas County to oppose mask mandates.
United American Defense Force, which is the militia division of the far-right conspiracist group FEC United, is calling on all members to pack the District 20 school board meeting in Colorado Springs this evening.
Conservative activist Lori Cutunilli, leader of the multiple attempts to recall Gov. Jared Polis (D-CO), stood alone for another unpopular political protest today, literally. From a Weld County middle school this morning, Cutunilli posted to Facebook that she was the only attendee at what was supposed to be a “National School Mask Walk Out” today.
Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert posted a video from inside Denver’s airport on Monday morning. During the video she is not wearing a mask, in violation of federal law, which states that masks are to be worn at all times on airport property.

Colorado public health officials have adopted CDC recommendations that everyone in school settings should wear masks, especially those who are not vaccinated.
