For the second time in two days, a Denver Metro county Republican party announced that it, “wouldn’t certify” election results that have already been certified. The Adams County Republican Party said Tuesday it will not certify the county election results, despite the fact that its own representative to the canvass board has already signed off on certification.
Anti-LGBT Speaker at Colorado Republican Event Encourages People to “Actively Reject” Supreme Court’s Authority
Leaders of the Republican Party in Adams County will hear tonight from the president of an anti-LGBT group called The Patriot League, which is a nonprofit organization that “seeks to reclaim America’s goodness” by working “to correct unjust laws & influence society towards a consensus on the indispensability of Traditional Marriage, Parental Rights, Religious Liberty & the Humanity of the Unborn, four pillars of moral truth sustaining America’s ability to survive & thrive.”
Adams County Republican Party Chair Anil Mathai dismissed a unanimous vote by the Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission to increase oil & gas well setbacks from schools to 1,000 feet as “[capitulation] to the environazis.”
In campaign ads in advance of November’s election, State Sen. Beth Martinez Humenik of Thornton is presented as a middle-of-the-road lawmaker.
