When I saw this post on Casper Stockham’s wall, I thought I recognized the footage. Casper is the Republican opponent of Diana Degette (D-CO). He shared the footage from the extreme anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant group Silence is Consent. It is clearly meant to convey an anti-immigration and anti-Muslim message: If we allow refugees into our country they will start burning tires and shutting down highways! Be afraid!

No pushback from radio host when anti-choice lawmaker insists it’s Dems who want to tell you how to “run your families”
You’d assume a news reporter like Fox 31 Denver’s Julie Hayden would challenge someone like State Sen. Laura Woods (R-Arvada) when Woods tells Hayden something like this during Hayden’s radio show on KNUS 710-AM:
These leading Republican women in Colorado still stand with Trump despite recent lewd comments
After a tape in which Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump makes offensive comments about women was released on Friday, some of Colorado’s Republican congressional delegation, including U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner, withdrew support.
I’m glad this book teaches children about the dangers of the internet
I definitely wouldn’t want my children interacting online with disgraced former Jefferson County School-board member Julie Williams, who apparently considers teaching kids it’s OK to be LGBTQ as worse than presidential candidate Donald Trump talking about using his power to abuse women sexually.
Radio host shows Gardner’s vote for Pence won’t count, but fails to find out if Gardner will still vote for him
“Unhappy with Trump? Want to Write In Pence? It Doesn’t Work That Way.”
TrumpWatch: Where do Colorado Republicans Stand on Trump These Days?
I’ve previously chronicled the various positions of Colorado Republicans on Trump, but this time I ran into problems categorizing their stances. As you’ll see below, there’s Never Trump, Dumped Trump, Maybe Trump, Love Trump, and many more.
I’m not sure Vicki Marble understands the concept of voting
State Sen. Vicki Marble (R-Ft. Collins) seems a little unclear of the purpose of elections. Yes, Vicki, it is to “judge” the candidates, but considering your candidate infamously bragged about using his power to sexually assault women, I can see why you wouldn’t want people to judge him—or you for that matter.
Buzzfeed: You thought Trump was bad? Check out these 10 Facebook posts from a Colorado political candidate
Facebook frequently acts as a soapbox for those who spew bigotry. We all know that guy. In this case, that guy is Raymond Garcia, a Republican who’s running for Colorado State House District 1 (and a Fever Swamp regular). Here are some of the times he posted something so racist, sexist, homophobic, or just plain crude that we almost forgot he’s an actual candidate for office.
Woods’ long ride on the Trump train could hand the state senate to the Dems
State Sen. Laura Woods (R-Arvada) first tiptoed onto the Trump train in January, when she called Trump one of her two favorite presidential candidates.
Colorado business owners back minimum wage increase
Nearly 200 Colorado business owners and executives signed a statement supporting Amendment 70, which would gradually raise the state’s minimum wage from $8.31 to $12 by 2020.
