More than six months prior to announcing her candidacy for Governor, University of Colorado Regent Heidi Ganahl launched a podcast called Heidi’s Colorful Colorado (HCC). In her introductory video, Ganahl says, “In typical Heidi fashion, we’re doing things out of the box!”
At the annual Colorado GOP Awards Banquet, held last month in Pueblo, the state party gave its top awards to Republicans who have fostered debunked conspiracy theories about how the 2020 presidential election was fraudulent.
In a recent radio interview, Kristi Burton Brown, chair of the Colorado Republican Party, advised candidates to sidestep conspiracy narratives about the 2020 presidential election that are favored by many GOP activists, and instead to acknowledge Joe Biden’s legitimacy as the president of the United States.
UPDATE: Ganahl apparently deactivated, but did not delete her Parler account, which is again live on the site, after being unavailable for several months last fall. Ganahl now follows just 57 accounts, ,down from the 129 she followed in late 2020.
