Colorado Republican leader Heidi Ganahl’s Rocky Mountain Voice (RMV) website offers “top speakers” who will make it “fun” to be a “conservative again in Colorado.”
Some of the speakers look especially fun if you think trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election was a barrel of laughs.
For example, RMV speaker Brandon Straka was convicted in federal court for participating in the Jan. 6 riot. He encouraged the mob to “go go go” and fight with Capitol Police. His felony charge was dropped in exchange for his cooperation with prosecutors.
Another inspirational speaker is Kash Patel, a Trump loyalist who’s said, “We’re going to come after the people in the media who lied about American citizens who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections.”
“With a focus on making it ‘fun’ to be a conservative again in Colorado, we’re here to help make your next event engaging and exciting,” states the RMV website. “Contact us with more information about your event, and we’ll get to work connecting you with top speakers.”
Ganahl, who lost by double digits to Gov. Jared Polis in 2022, launched Rocky Mountain Voice this year as a one-stop shop for conservative news and messaging to turn Colorado red again.
In addition to its speakers bureau, the Rocky Mountain Voice website offers original reporting and links to news curated for conservatives — and emphasizing conservative outlets.
The speakers bureau includes John Fabbricatore, who’s running for Congress against incumbent Democrat Jason Crow. Though RMV is ostensibly nonpartisan, it’s technically allowed to promote a candidate like Fabbricatore because entities that book the speakers must pay a fee.
Other speakers bureau offerings include: Alina Habba, Bradley Beck, Brandon Straka, Drake Hunter, Maralee McLean, Matt Solomon, Mike Davis, Peggy Grande, Derrick Wilburn, Jeff Anderson, Matt Burgess, Nick Adams, Peter McCullough, Ryan Fournier, Rachel Keane, Stanley “Cain” Young, David Brat, James Lindsay, Mailyn Salabarria, Todd Bensman.
Keane, who runs a Facebook page where she goes by “Conservative Momma,” posted election disinformation about mail-in ballots in advance of the 2020 election.
Ganahl, whose 2022 loss to Polis was blamed in part on her own refusal to say that the 2020 presidential election was legitimate, did not immediately return an email seeking comment.
In March, Rocky Mountain Voice Editor Brian Porter resigned from his volunteer position as president of the Colorado Press Association, after some members objected that he worked for an outlet that actively worked to undermine professional journalism.
