Here’s a list of Colorado candidates (running for state or federal office) who, in one form or another, deny the results of the 2020 election.
Federal candidates
U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), who’s running to represent a district on the eastern plains, is a brazen election denier, repeating falsehoods about it on social media, in speeches, and in her autobiography.
State Rep. Gabe Evans (R-Ft. Lupton), who’s the GOP nominee for a congressional seat (CD8) north of Denver, said it’s not a “yes-no” question as to whether the 2020 election was stolen from Trump.
State candidates
State Rep. Scott Bottoms (R-Colorado Springs) is running again for HD15 and has indicated his support for election conspiracies.
State Rep. Brandi Bradley (R-Littleton), who’s running for reelection to HD39, has promoted multiple election conspiracies — about Republican votes being deleted, swing state shenanigans, and affidavits allegedly proving fraud.
Scott Bright, who’s running for a northern Colorado Senate seat (SD13), has posted election conspiracy memes on social media and dodged the question of whether Trump won the presidential election in 2020.
Matt Burcham, who’s running for a Highlands Ranch state House seat (HD43), worked with an election conspiracy group and traveled to Washington, D.C. for the Jan. 6 insurrection.
Nathan Butler, who’s running to represent a northern Colorado House district (HD26), rallied in front of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and posted photos of the march on Facebook.
State Rep. Marc Catlin (R-Montrose), who’s running for state Senate (SD5), voted in 2022 to “call into question” whether the 2020 presidential election was legitimate and to urge the decertification of the 2020 election results.
State Rep. Kenneth DeGraaf (R-Colorado Springs), who’s running again for HD22, promoted the Dominion Voting Systems conspiracy theory on Facebook and wrote on his campaign website that he finds Tina Peters’ “arrest for revealing Dominion vulnerabilities disturbing,”
State Rep. Stephanie Luck (R-Penrose), who’s running again in HD60, voted with Catlin and others in 2022 to urge decertification of the 2020 presidential election.
State Rep. Ty Winter (R-Trinidad), who’s running again for HD 47, has made multiple election fraud conspiracy statements.
