An executive at Colorado Christian University said last week that colleges and universities are “so woke, so broken, so godless” that they are doing “harm” to students.
“Because higher education is so woke, so broken, so godless, parents are like, ‘Why would I spend $40,000 to have an institution unravel everything I just poured into my job for the last 18 years?’ I mean, it’s almost like burning money to, you know, harm your children,” said Jeff Hunt, who directs Colorado Christian University’s Centennial Institute, “They’re just not interested in doing it.”
At the end of last year, Hunt called Colorado Christian University the ‘safest’ campus in Colorado because ‘we’re committed to Jesus.’
Hunt hailed Colorado Christian University, located southwest of Denver, as a hot alternative to other institutions of higher education, attracting parents and students alienated by the alleged dangers found at other universities.
Colorado Christian University “is just a university that’s soaring and parents are looking for these alternatives,” he said on his Frontier Freedom Hour podcast April 14.
Colorado Christian University bills itself as being the most anti-abortion university in the country and is known for fueling anti-LGBTQ sentiment in Colorado. CCU’s Centennial Institute’s Western Conservative Summit, a giant conservative gathering, attracts leading Republicans each year, including Donald Trump in 2016.
Hunt didn’t respond to a voicemail message and a Tweet seeking to know which universities are harming their students and what harm they are inflicting due to his view that they’re broken, woke, and godless.
So it’s not known whether Hunt believes George Washington University, from which Hunt received a graduate degree, has harmed students like him.
