The Denver Water’s Lead Reduction Program is hosting an online informational meeting tomorrow for people to learn about its work broadly and its goal of permanently removing and replacing customer-owned lead water service lines from Denver.
The program gained approval back in December, 2019, from the Environmental Protection Agency and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The goal is to have the project finished by 2034 but they are hoping to secure additional funding in order to accelerate their project’s timeline and finish sooner.
The virtual event will be held on Tuesday, July 26, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. over the phone. People can call 833-858-0002 to participate in the event in English or 833-858-0011 for Spanish. People are also able to join online through denverwater.org/LeadMeeting
