Colorado Times Recorder reporter Madeleine Schmidt will moderate a panel tonight hosted by the Tattered Cover Bookstore on threats to reproductive rights in Colorado and nationally — and what can citizens can do to fight back.
The panel will address both the upcoming U.S. Supreme Court case that threatens Roe v. Wade and state laws across the country that have chipped away at abortion rights.
Panelists include Amanda Carlson, Abortion Fund Director and Senior Policy Associate with COBALT; Dusti Gurule, Executive Director, Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity & Reproductive Rights (COLOR) & COLOR Action Fund; Adrienne Mansanares, Chief Experience Officer, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains; Arianna Morales, Regional Advocacy Manager, New Era Colorado; Briana Simmons, Black Womxn’s Health, Healing, & Joy Coordinator, Soul 2 Soul Sisters. Schmidt’s work on reproductive-rights issues has appeared nationally in Rewire and Jezebel.
