Approximately 100 Trump supporters gathered at the Colorado state Capitol this afternoon to protest the result of the presidential election. Chanting “Stop the Steal” and waving signs that read “Stop Voter Fraud,” the demonstrators were surrounded by a crowd of Biden supporters and counter-protesters that was nearly double in size. Dozens of Denver Police officers in riot gear formed a line between the groups.
Among those waving Trump and “Stop the Steal” signs were supporters of the “Three Percenter” militia movement. Some attendees wore military-style plate carriers. There did not appear to be any elected officials in attendance.
