If the name Kendal Unruh rings a bell, it’s because she led a local effort to dump Donald Trump. She is one of the most conservative people you will come across and recognized early that he would damage the conservative brand. Here she is taking Trump to task for saying he would destroy the career of a state legislator when a Sheriff complained she was trying to pass legislation against civil asset forfeiture.
This brings me to my request for local media. Many GOP members of Colorado’s legislature are on the record as being against civil asset forfeiture because they see it as government overreach. State Rep. Lori Saine (R-Firestone) has run a bill—SB 2015-006—to make it illegal.
Since Saine is on the record as both a big Trump supporter and against civil asset forfeiture, it would be great to get her on the record about Trump’s remarks.
