VAIL, Colo. — Colorado Gov. Jared Polis on Thursday, following the launch of a state-funded geothermal project here, took on the Trump-aligned Project 2025 plans for rolling back renewables and exploiting public lands with a massive surge in fossil fuels.
Last week the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded $200,000 to San Luis Valley Local Food Coalition to develop a program that converts food waste into fuel.
The Advanced Energy Economy (AEE) expects Colorado’s clean energy industry of over 65,000 workers to expand by as much as nine percent this year, up from the four percent growth of last year. Over half of this workforce constitutes energy efficiency jobs alone.
