The Arvada Police Department characterizes Hurley as a “Good Samaritan” and hero whose decision to draw his pistol and engage the shooter potentially saved lives.

Last spring, as the first wave of measures to halt the spread of coronavirus kicked in, travel screeched nearly to a halt, and the hospitality and tourism industry slowed considerably. Locals in public-land gateway towns predicted doom — and also breathed a big sigh of relief. Their one-trick-pony economies would surely suffer, but at least all the newly laid-off residents would have the surrounding land to themselves for a change.

Boebert Misleads on Black Lives Matter Qualifying as ‘Domestic Terror’ Group
In a radio interview Monday afternoon, U.S. Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO) offered misinformation and falsehoods to justify a resolution, which she introduced in March, to designate Antifa and associated groups as domestic terrorist organizations. She also claimed to have sponsored legislation designating Black Lives Matter as a terrorist group, but that organization is not cited by name in the resolution.
