Over two years after the Jan. 6, insurrection, former Trump lawyer John Eastman — who’s facing disbarment in California — defended the mob, telling a right-wing podcaster in Colorado that some Jan. 6 insurrectionists were “people paid by news organizations to get video of violence so that that could build a false narrative” and that anti-Trump operatives manipulated the protesters by hiding barricades at the U.S. Capitol.
