Colorado’s — and the country’s — expanding fever swamp of misinformation, bigotry, hatred, greed, corruption, and racism will be exposed, scrutinized, and — to the extent possible — explained during every-other-week episodes of the Colorado Times Recorder’s new podcast, the Fever Swamp Review.
In this week’s show, host Heidi Beedle is joined by Colorado Times Recorder Deputy Editor Erik Maulbetsch and columnist Logan Davis to discuss think tanks in the wake of coverage of the right-wing Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, which appears to be largely guiding the actions of the Trump Administration. They address how wealthy donors influence policy and write laws.
Future podcasts will feature experts, activists, and writers — along with staff and freelancers from the Colorado Times Recorder — who will discuss what extremists are saying in under-the-radar media platforms and public meetings and what they’re doing in Colorado and other states. The show will shine a public spotlight on the fever swamp’s infectious falsehoods and conspiracies, which spread in the dim light of obscurity.
The fever swamp looks like it’s overtaking large chunks of America. The Fever Swamp Review is part of the Colorado Times Recorder‘s work to fight back.
