As the daughter of a doctor, I have grown up understanding the critical importance of early screening in preventing and combating diseases like cancer. That’s why I strongly support the Facilitating Innovative Nuclear Diagnostics (FIND) Act and urge Congresswoman DeGette to support this crucial, bi-partisan legislation when it comes to a vote in the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health later this month.

Diseases like cancer – particularly melanoma – remain a significant concern in our state. Alzheimer’s and more affect numerous families and communities here in Colorado. What exacerbates this issue is the lack of access to early screening and detection services for underserved populations who are more at risk. The FIND Act addresses this disparity head-on by enhancing access to early screening programs for Medicare recipients, ensuring that individuals from all walks of life have the opportunity to detect these diseases in their earliest, most treatable stages.

As Coloradans, we pride ourselves on our commitment to health and wellness. Supporting the FIND Act aligns with our states values and I implore Congresswoman DeGette to continue her good work representing the people of Colorado by co-sponsoring this legislation and supporting it in committee. Together, we can make strides in the fight against our toughest diseases and illnesses and ensure a healthier future for generations to come.

Sincerely,
