UPDATE: Jacqueline Anderson responded to a request for comment soon after publication. Her comments have been included below.

Mesa County Republican officer Jacqueline Anderson, who has been vocal in her support of the Big Lie and militias, announced today she is resigning from her position as first vice-chair of the county party.

Anderson cited the need to speak “freely and truthfully” and “stand right next” to her husband, Cory Anderson, who is a Three Percenter militia member and election-fraud conspiracist.

Anderson listed Republican Party bylaws and operational responsibilities as barriers to her ability to speak the truth but did not mention any specific policies or issues where she and the GOP are at odds.

“I thought my role was to be on the Executive Board for the GOP,” wrote Anderson. “Unfortunately, it isn’t for me. I need to be able to be a voice for Conservative Values and Candidates. I need to be able to speak freely and truthfully from my heart and not be tied down to bylaws and operational responsibilities. I need to be able to stand right next to my husband and walk this journey with him proudly. So, this brought me to the decision to resign from my role as 1st Vice Chair here in Mesa County.”

In a phone conversation soon after publication, Anderson told the Colorado Times Recorder that she decided to step down from her leadership role because of the party bylaw requiring officers to remain neutral in primary elections.

“The bylaws of the Republican Party, require neutrality, said Anderson. “As an officer you don’t support one candidate over the other. For me, I feel, especially with a lot of things that are going on here in Mesa County, that just because someone is a registered Republican doesn’t necessarily make them the candidate I believe would be best representing the people of this county.

A lot of patriots in Mesa County are not happy about the county commissioners and some of their decisions, such as with the [2020] election and things like that. I need to be able to be true to who I am and be able to speak about my concerns. When people come to me for guidance and understanding about what a candidate is representing or what they’re not representing, I want to be able to speak freely to that and not have to remain neutral.
I’m never going to be quiet and I need to be able to just stand tall and proud, I love my country, I love my county, I love the citizens, and I truly want to do and help however, we can unify our county because we are not. And I can’t do that as an executive member, because out of respect for the members of the board, I do not want to put them in a position to where they are going to be uncomfortable with me saying something that’s not being neutral.”

The Andersons are also close friends and supporters of Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO). Cory, who has been working with the election fraud conspiracy group U.S. Election Integrity Project, presented Boebert with a custom Glock 22 in January. Jacqueline posted her support of Three Percenter militias the same day news of gifted pistol broke.

Asked if her & her husband’s support of the Three Percenter militia movement had anything to do with her decision, Anderson said not at all, clarifying that while they do support Three Percenters and Oathkeeper groups, and Cory does provide security for the election integrity groups they work with, neither she nor Cory is a militia member.

In response to her announcement, Anderson received congratulations from Boebert employee and QAnon conspiracist Mona Demicell, who manages the Congresswoman’s restaurant. Demicell used the hashtag #SupermomsSaveAmerica. “Supermoms” is a term used by election fraud conspiracists Sherronna Bishop and Douglas Frank to describe the teams of volunteers (trained in Colorado by Cory Anderson) they organized to knock doors in search of so-called “phantom votes.”

Earlier this year Anderson graduated from the Leadership Program of the Rockies, Colorado’s most prominent conservative candidate training class. Numerous LPR graduates go on to hold public office or otherwise work in politics, but in recent years many have also publicly promoted dangerous conspiracy theories. Anderson joins fellow Western Slope LPR graduates Tina Peters and Cindy Ficklin in this group.

In August, the couple joined conspiracist clerk Tina Peters and former Boebert campaign manager Sherronna Bishop, on MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell’s private jet on a flight to his election fraud conspiracy conference.

The FBI raided Peters and Bishop’s homes Tuesday as part of an investigation into their involvement in the theft and release of secure election data on a QAnon blog.

In her resignation post, Anderson went to say she and her husband will continue to build an Army of Freedom, and promised not to “be quiet about those in positions that aren’t listening to their constituents, following and upholding the rule of law.”

The Mesa County Republican Party did not immediately return a voicemail request for comment. This article will be updated with any response received.

Changes.

Life is full of them and it is time for yet another here in the Anderson household. The last couple of months I have been able to take some steps back into the shadows to reflect. To take care of me. To focus on my physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health.I have prayed for the light to be shown on a path for which I needed to travel. One that is selfless and yet fulfilling.

One that stokes my passion and in turn helps others. And I have my answer. It’s really a continuation of where I started a couple years back… one of advocacy. But, it’s changed a bit.

I thought my role was to be on the Executive Board for the GOP. Unfortunately, it isn’t for me.

I need to be able to be a voice for Conservative Values and Candidates.

I need to be able to speak freely and truthfully from my heart and not be tied down to bylaws and operational responsibilities.I need to be able to stand right next to my husband and walk this journey with him proudly.

So, this brought me to the decision to resign from my role as 1st Vice Chair here in Mesa County, but that doesn’t mean I’m going anywhere.

Far from it actually. Cory Jo and I have thought greatly about what we need to be doing and I’m proud to say, that The Duke & Diva will be standing together with all of you -continuing to build the Army of Freedom, speaking and teaching about why Capitalism is the most moral socioeconomic structure for us all, and supporting candidates that live and breathe those same values and ideals. Which also means… we won’t be quiet about those in positions that aren’t listening to their constituents, following and upholding the rule of law, and well… I think you get the picture! 😉

Thank you all very much for the love, support, encouragement, and guidance.

I am truly fortunate to have the support system I do.

Cheers to the bright future ahead! It’s so bright… I had to wear shades!

And a side thank you to my friend Janelle, for sending me a wonderful gift of Freedom earrings and necklace! I love it so much!! (Link to her site in comments)
