This happens all the time in the Fever Swamps™. Climate change is obviously a hoax because it snowed!
Sure, it’s a blatant fallacy to mistake individual weather events as evidence for or against climate change, but the allure of the fallacy is too much to resist for many conservatives. Last week there were climate change protest marches all across the country, including in Denver, where a completely-normal-for-this-time-of-year snowstorm hit on the same day. This did not deter hundreds from attending, but it did unleash a torrent of falsehoods from some conservative organizations and officials.
