There is a story that we have to tell. It’s the story of a man that was a man in a dream.
The dream in its haziness cost the man 28 years of freedom. A dream that kept a man awake, away from his family for decades.
Clarence Moses-EL spent 28 years in prison for a sexual assault he didn’t commit, based in part on a dream. Another man confessed to the crime.
He was released in December 2015 because he is innocent, but the Denver District Attorney is retrying him anyway. The retrial is set to begin on November 7th, one day before the election, at a time when hardly anyone will be paying attention. The District Attorney is determined to find him guilty despite everything. Retrying him is not justice.
There is a petition to the Denver District Attorney to drop the charges.
