U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO) has yet to announce plans for public meetings during his August “corner to corner” tour of Colorado, but plans have been revealed on Facebook for Gardner to speak at two fundraising events.

At 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, he will appear with U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO) and Congressman Ken Buck, leader of Colorado’s Republican Party, at the Teller County Big Tent Event, sponsored by the Teller County Republicans.

The luncheon, entry to which requires the purchase of a $25 ticket, will feature “BBQ tri-tip and all the fixings.” It will be going down until 4 p.m. in Woodland Park, near Colorado Springs.

Gardner will be leaving that event before it’s over, though. He’ll be on his way to the Foothills Republicans Summer BBQ and Fundraiser, which will take place the same evening from 4 to 7 p.m. in Littleton, a Denver suburb.

Entry to that event, which will have a different cut of barbecued beef for dinner, costs $45 per person and $75 for couples. For $150 or $500 respectively, a donor can become a “gold” or “platinum” level sponsor

That event will also feature Buck, in addition to Steve House, the Colorado GOP Chief Executive Officer.

Colorado’s other U.S. Senator, Michael Bennet, a Democrat, has planned “summer listening sessions,” during which he is making himself available at specific locations, dates, and times across the state to meet with constituents who request a meeting.
