In media appearances and at townhall events, Colorado Republicans are reflecting on the recent legislative session which saw bills addressing housing, property taxes, and gun control.
DAVIS: The Legislative Session is Over. These Were the Worst Bills.
Another session of the Colorado General Assembly has concluded in the standard way: with both a bang and a whimper. Laws were made, tears were shed, and minds were frayed, all as life outside the building continued per usual. The legislative session, which consists of a mad dash through the General Assembly’s constitutional requirements in the constitutionally limited timespan of 120 business days, is over.

John Hickenlooper (D-CO) has co-sponsored the Access to Family Building Act, which he says will ensure no hopeful parent or doctor is punished for trying to start or grow a family.
Colorado Rep. Scott Bottoms Rejects Science of Evolution
At a recent church-sponsored town hall in Colorado Springs, Colorado Representative and pastor Scott Bottoms rejected the science of biological evolution, calling it a hoax, Heidi Beedle reported. To my knowledge, Bottoms is the highest-ranking elected official currently serving in the state to explicitly reject evolution. He joins District 51 school board member Barbara Evanson, who, with her husband (also a pastor) penned a screed against evolution and called for the teaching of creationism in public-school science classrooms.

Colorado Pastor Turned Legislator Has Promoted Christian Nationalism From The Pulpit For Years
“The church is not more powerful in Colorado than Satan is. I mean, think about what I’m saying. If that was different, wouldn’t we be able to do something about this?”
