Congresswoman Lauren Boebert recently took flack from the moderate wing of her party, when Mesa County Commissioner Cody Davis announced his decision to endorse her primary opponent. Now a prominent grassroots Republican, Lori Cutunilli, has used her group’s social media platform to interview another Boebert challenger, Libertarian candidate James Wiley.
Even though the target of their ire failed to appear, progressives in La Plata County who planned to protest Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s (R-CO) policies didn’t let her absence prevent them from getting their message heard. Rocky Mountain Values, Durango Indivisibles and other left-leaning activists had initially planned to protest outside the Sky Ute Casino in Ignacio, where Boebert and her colleague U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) were scheduled to co-headline the county GOP’s annual fundraising dinner. However, the failure of House Republicans to make any progress on a budget deal in advance of next Saturday’s federal government shutdown deadline kept them both in D.C. over the weekend.
The Colorado Republican Party spent nearly twice as much money as it raised last month. The party’s latest FEC filing shows it raised a little over $12,000 while spending about $22,000. The almost $10,000 shortfall equals the amount spent on party officers and staff, either for direct payments or travel reimbursement.

UPDATE: Congressman Ken Buck has responded to Todd Watkins’ call for Colorado Republicans to support the Jan. 6 prisoners. In a letter of his own dated Sept. 1, Buck points out multiple incorrect assertions and calls on Watkins to stop promoting misinformation he finds online.
Dan Caplis is a serious lawyer, or so he says. So serious, in fact, that he’s trademarked the phrase, “a serious firm for serious cases.” Jenna Ellis is not a serious lawyer, but she has been charged with serious crimes. She also admitted, in her formal censure by Colorado’s Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel, to spreading misinformation about the 2020 election no fewer than ten times, including on Dan Caplis’ KNUS radio show.
