From a press release from the organizers: “Tomorrow, Thursday, July 30, at 10:30 AM MT, patients, physicians, healthcare workers, and advocates are rallying in Northglenn to celebrate the birthday of Medicaid and Medicare, and to pressure Congressman Gabe Evans. Protect Our Care Colorado and the Colorado Fiscal Institute will rally to celebrate the birthday of Medicaid and Medicare with speakers, birthday cake, and a giant birthday card, which will be delivered to Rep. Gabe Evans to show support for these crucial programs and to call out his votes that strip tens of thousands of Coloradans of their health coverage.”

From the organizers: “This is our chance to make sure our neighbors, friends, and family who work for tipped wages can afford to live in Boulder. Let’s get it done! Join us on Thursday 7/30 in pressuring Boulder City Council to abandon their efforts to undermine the hard-won wage increases for Boulder’s tipped wage workers. We will rally at the Downtown Bandshell, hear from local advocates and workers on why this is an important issue, and move to the Municipal Tate Building for the in-person public hearing scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in city council chambers. When you RSVP here, we will send you the required form to register for the public hearing. The City of Boulder does NOT support walk-in public comment sign-ups.”

From the organizers: “We gather peacefully at Gabe Evans’ Northglenn Office every Friday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to urge him to have the courage to speak with us, his constituents. We plead with him to defend our Freedom, our Constitution, and our Democracy. We protest Gabe Evans’ weakness as he remains silent in the face of the staggering level of corruption and other unconstitutional actions of this administration.

GrassrootsPueblo: No War in Iran Protest and Food/Pet Donation Drive — 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. — 1520 W 4th St., Pueblo
Weekly demonstration. From the organizers: “We are GrassrootsPueblo, an independent group of concerned citizens regarding the authoritarian actions by the Trump administration. Our food and pet food donation drive continues every week at our Saturday protests. This allows us to help the people and pet friends in our community who are struggling right now. We really appreciate your donation.”

The Business of Deportation: Contractors, Cash & Colorado Updates — 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. — Virtual Event
From the organizers: “Immigration detention isn’t just a policy; it’s a business. Join Solidarity Warriors as we pull back the curtain on the companies and contractors making money off detention and deportation, and bring it home with the latest on what’s happening in Colorado. We’ll break down the major players profiting from this system, including the ICE Air network flying shackled humans across and out of the country, private prison giants like GEO Group, and the government officials with financial ties to them. Understanding the money trail helps us understand who’s really driving these policies, and who we need to hold accountable. We’ll also cover the latest on proposed immigration detention centers, including any developments that could affect Colorado communities directly. Plus, a roundup of local Colorado immigration news.”

From the organizers: “A peaceful gathering at the I-25 pedestrian overpass (for visibility) near Cinzetti’s in Northglenn, CO, to urge CO-8 Congressional Representative Gabe Evans to have the courage to speak with us, his constituents. We also want to let other residents of CD-8 know what Gabe is voting for.”
