Thursday, July 23

Jewish Voice for Peace: Grieving the Loss of Palestinian Homes in Tisha B’Av — 6 p.m. — Union Station, 1701 Wynkoop St., Denver

From a press release from the organizers: “In partnership with local artist Leah Bry, we will be collaboratively creating a temporary public art installation. Our ritual and art installation will invite the public into memorializing the loss of Palestinian homes and homeland as well as into a collective commitment of solidarity in defending Palestinian rights to freedom, justice, dignity, equality, and the right of return. Many will not expect to see Jews publicly grieving for and with Palestinians: we hope that our solidarity illuminates the complexity and poignancy of this solemn Jewish holiday.”

Visibility Brigade — 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. — Sioux Dr. & Thunderbird Dr., Boulder

Weekly demonstration. From the organizers: “South Boulder Visibility Brigade invites you to a weekly visibility event on the pedestrian bridge at Foothills Pkwy and Sioux Ave in Boulder. Come protest the regime and publicize/push back against recent takeover attempts. Bring your own sign if desired, but we will have banners/letters and signs to borrow.”

Friday, July 24

Protest at Gabe Evans’ Northglenn Office — 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. — Northglenn District Office, 10701 Melody Dr.

Weekly Demonstration. From the organizers: “We gather peacefully at Gabe Evans’ Northglenn Office every Friday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to urge him to have the courage to speak with us, his constituents. We plead with him to defend our Freedom, our Constitution, and our Democracy. We protest Gabe Evans’ weakness as he remains silent in the face of the staggering level of corruption and other unconstitutional actions of this administration.

Saturday, July 25

End ICE Flights: Press Conference and Rally — 10:30 a.m. — Colorado Capitol, 200 E. Colfax Ave., Denver

From a press release by the organizers: “In response to a surge of ICE activity across the country, Colorado’s Immigrant Partnership Teams and other local organizations are taking action with cities across the country, from Minneapolis to Memphis, as workers, activists, plane trackers, and community members call for an end to the cruel, inhumane, and illegal transport of our immigrant neighbors. These flights often happen quickly after someone is taken by ICE, separating families and making it virtually impossible for legal help to track their whereabouts. A Press Conference and Rally will take place on the west steps of the Capitol at 10:30 a.m. on July 25th to speak out against ICE Air.”

Boulder ICE Out Now — 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. — Broadway St. & Canyon Blvd., Boulder

From the organizers: “ICE Out Now! On July 7, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Houston while driving a work van with his crew. On July 13, ICE fatally shot 26-year-old Johan Sebastian Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine — his wife and toddler were forced to witness his murder. Both men were beloved members of their communities, killed on their way to work. As if that weren’t enough, a protester was shot and wounded by a GEO employee outside the ICE detention center in Aurora, CO on July 22. Join us for a vigil in Boulder, a honk-and-wave visibility event to demand Justice for Lorenzo! Justice for Johan! Justice for All! ICE Out Now from our cities, towns, and rural areas!”

Line Colorado Blvd! — 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. — 8th Ave. & Colorado Blvd., Denver

From the organizers: “This gathering is part of an effort to LINE Colorado Blvd with people standing against an authoritarian regime. We want to be visible to a variety of drivers. Imagine if people see protesters at intersections all the way from I-70 to Hampden Avenue! This is a goal of ours for the next No Kings Day.”

Stand Up for Democracy! Stand Up for the Rule of Law! — 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. — West Bowles Ave. & South Santa Fe Dr., Littleton

From the organizers: “Please note that we have adjusted the time to avoid the heat of the day. If you are feeling discouraged and wondering how to get involved, come stand with us. Bring a sign to speak your convictions. Make a statement about your dissatisfaction with this government’s actions. Let it say what you value about democracy and what you want America to stand for on the world stage. Governing should not be rife with cruelty, corruption, and incompetence. We demand good governance – institutions and laws that serve all Americans, not just billionaires and corporations.”

GrassrootsPueblo: No War in Iran Protest and Food/Pet Donation Drive — 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. — 1520 W 4th St., Pueblo

Weekly demonstration. From the organizers: “We are GrassrootsPueblo, an independent group of concerned citizens regarding the authoritarian actions by the Trump administration. Our food and pet food donation drive continues every week at our Saturday protests. This allows us to help the people and pet friends in our community who are struggling right now. We really appreciate your donation.”

Indivisible: Protest “Against All Things This Authoritarian Regime Is Doing” — 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. — S. Wadsworth Blvd. & W. Alameda Ave., Lakewood

Weekly demonstration. From the organizers: “Join us and protest all the things this authoritarian regime is doing that keep you up at night. Pick the topic that is nearest and dearest to you to call out. There’s lots of traffic to see your messages. Immigration, ICE brutality and violence, voting rights, the rule of law, Constitutional violations, greed and corruption, healthcare, the First Amendment, use of National Guard, Ukraine, Gaza, and there are so many more. Let’s be heard!”

Weekly demonstration. Join protestors in standing against ICE and honoring Alex Pretti, who had ties to the Aurora community.

Wednesday, July 29

Gabe Evans Protest — 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. — I-25 Pedestrian Bridge, 281 W. 104th Ave., Northglenn

Weekly demonstration. From the organizers: “A peaceful gathering at the I-25 pedestrian overpass (for visibility) near Cinzetti’s in Northglenn, CO, to urge CO-8 Congressional Representative Gabe Evans to have the courage to speak with us, his constituents. We also want to let other residents of CD-8 know what Gabe is voting for.
