Sick of our System: Rally Against Corporate Greed in Healthcare

From the organizers: This legislative session, the Center for Health Progress and other consumer advocacy organizations tried to pass a law to make it illegal for health care systems to take Coloradans’ wages or their homes for medical debt. After hours of supportive testimony from patients, providers, and community organizations, the bill died in the Colorado House Health and Human Services Committee. State legislators from both parties sided with the corporate lobby over people, allowing large hospital systems in Colorado to continue putting liens on homes and taking wages to pay off medical debt.
