Save the Aurora Reservoir Public Hearing – 5-8 p.m. – Location: 4225 Carlson Trail, Elizabeth, CO, 80107

This is a public hearing involving on the Sunlight-Long mega well pad project, a proposed fracking operation less than a mile away from the Aurora Reservoir, an important source of fresh water in the area. More information can be found at the Save the Aurora Reservoir’s website

Friday, September 12

Protest Congressman Gabe Evans’ Greeley Office, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Gabe Evans Greeley Office, 3400 West 16th St, Building 1S, Greeley

Peaceful weekly gathering at Gabe Evans’ Greeley Office every Friday between 11am and 1pm to urge him to have the courage to speak with his constituents. Plead with him to defend Freedom, our Constitution, and our Democracy.

Saturday, September 13 

CD7 Weekly Peace Vigil for Palestine – 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. – Location: 5250 Wadsworth Bypass, Arvada

The group CD7 Watermelon organizes a weekly vigil to call attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The event is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to bring signs and flags. Here is information on a similar past event

Durango Pride Parade, 10:30 a.m. Location: 500 Block of Main Ave, Durango

Everyone who supports the LGBTQ+ community, equality, or anyone who just loves rainbows, come and show support- march with Durango Pride down Main Street celebrating the Durango Rainbow and heading to the Pride Festival at Buckley Park.

Honoring Heroes Luau with the Colorado GOP – 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Location: 6852 S Dallas Way, Greenwood Village, CO, 80112

House Minority Whip Carlos Barron (R-Brighton) and Colorado GOP Chair Brita Horn will be speaking at this event sponsored by The Second Syndicate, a gun rights organization, aimed at “honoring and remembering” the lives lost on 9/11. The organization has held events with the Colorado Liberation Party’s former chair and congressional candidate Lily Tang Williams. More information can be found here.

Protest Against Tyranny – 11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Location: 5700 S Broadway, Littleton

This event was previously part of #TeslaTakedown, where activists protested billionaire Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and the richest man in the world, and his involvement in slashing public funds and federal departments. Activists plan to nonviolently protest his impact by demonstrating outside of local Tesla dealerships. The organizers wanted to broaden the scope of their action “as the authoritarian threat continues to evolve.” More information can be found here

FOX Takedown – 1 p.m. – Location: 100 E Speer Boulevard, Denver, CO, 80203
This is a weekly protest against Fox News over what activists describe as “Rupert Murdoch’s rightwing propaganda network”. Organized in part with Colorado 50501, the peaceful demonstration meets every Saturday outside the Fox 31 Studio. More information can be found here.
