Thursday, July 10: 

End ICE Collaboration in Colorado – 11 a.m. – Location: 1300 Broadway, Denver

The Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC) will deliver 2,000+ petition signatures to Attorney General Phil Weiser to investigate Colorado officials who have shared personal data with ICE, in violation of Colorado law. The move comes after it was revealed that Gov. Jared Polis advised state employees to illegally share immigrant data. Find more information about the event here.

Friday, July 11: 

Justice for Paul Castaway – 6 p.m. – Location: 2100 S Clay St., Denver – District 4 Police Station 

Family and friends of Paul Castaway, along with activists, will be demonstrating outside a Denver police station to protest Castaway’s death at the hands of a DPD officer. Castaway, a Sicangu Lakota (Rosebud Sioux) man, was killed in 2015 while experiencing a mental health crisis. It was later revealed that the officer who shot him had a Three Percenter tattoo on his hand. Castaway’s family says they have been subject to “gang-stalking” for their activism in trying to get justice for the deceased. Organized with a coalition of indigenous rights activists and Denver communists, the protest is to draw attention to the high number of indigenous, as well as other people of color, who have lost their lives due to police violence. Saturday, July 12:

Weekly Peace Vigil for Palestine – 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. – Location: 5250 Wadsworth Bypass, Arvada

The group CD7 Watermelon organizes a weekly vigil to call attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The event is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to bring signs and flags. Here is information on a similar past event

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and LGBTQ+ Rights Protest – 12 p.m.- 6 p.m. – Location: 200 E Colfax Ave., Denver, Colorado Capitol Steps

This is a grassroots protest that aims to draw attention to the indigenous water rights, missing and murdered indigenous persons, tribal sovereignty, and LGBTQ+ rights. More information can be found about the event here

Public Planning Meeting and Chicano Moratorium – Location: Sam Gary Library, 2961 Rosalyn St., Denver, CO, 80203

This is a public meeting organized by Aurora Unidos CSO, the Chicano Liberation Committee, FRSO Denver, and DACAC to call for an end to deportations. The Chicano Moratorium has a long history, dating back to the 70s, of organizing in opposition to U.S. foreign wars and has carried into the modern day. Find more information here

FOX Takedown – 1 p.m. – Location: 100 Speer Blvd., Denver

This is a weekly protest against Fox News over what activists describe as “Rupert Murdoch’s rightwing propaganda network”. Organized in part with Colorado 50501, the peaceful demonstration meets every Saturday outside the Fox 31 Studio. More information can be found here.

#TeslaTakedown – 11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Location:  Three locations in Littleton, Loveland, and Superior

This is another recurring event where activists protest billionaire Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and the richest man in the world, and his involvement in slashing public funds and federal departments. Activists plan to nonviolently protest his impact by demonstrating outside of local Tesla dealerships. More information can be found here. The Littleton event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Loveland event runs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the Superior event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Monday, July 14:

Say No to Palantir – 2 p.m. – Location: 200 E Colfax Ave., Denver – Colorado Capitol Steps 

This protest at the Colorado State Capitol is in opposition to Palantir, a Denver-based tech company co-founded by billionaire Peter Thiel. Palantir has been a key contractor for the U.S. government’s immigration enforcement as well as the Israeli military. Several local organizations are organizing this protest, one of which is Community United for Palestine. More information can be found here
