Below are select protest and political events scheduled in the Denver area over the next week. If you know of any upcoming events that are open to the public across Colorado, please let us know (at [email protected]).
Events:
Thursday, July 17:
Good Trouble Lives On – 5-8 p.m. – Location: 1449 Lincoln St, Denver, CO, 80203
This is a march organized in part by 50501CO, the same group that worked on the “No Kings” protest in June. July 17 marks the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’s passing. Organizers say they are taking action across the country to “defend our democracy and carry forward his legacy of Good Trouble.” One of the core principles of the Good Trouble Lives ON event is a commitment to non-violence, and organizers say they expect all attendees to seek to de-escalate and avoid potential confrontation with those who disagree with them. More information can be found here.

The group CD7 Watermelon organizes a weekly vigil to call attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The event is open to the public and attendees are encouraged to bring signs and flags. Here is information on a similar past event.
