Below are upcoming protest events scheduled in the Denver area. CTR has previously covered protests in Denver as they occurred; however, we are taking a new approach to letting our audience know about upcoming events. Denver has seen numerous acts of peaceful protest since Donald Trump’s re-election, and July is shaping up to be a busy month for activists. CTR is starting this new, recurring segment to key you up to date on upcoming events, if you know of any across Colorado, please reach out and let us know.

Events: 

Monday, June 30th: 

All Out For Jeanette Vizguerra – From 6-8 PM. This is a recurring protest advocating for the release of immigrant civil rights activist Jeanette Vizguerra (currently in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody) – Location: 3130 N Oakland St, Aurora – More Information can be found here.

Colorado Stands Together: Stop the Deportations Community Meeting, 6 PM, Park Hill UCC, 2600 Leyden St. Join Denver PSL and Casa de Paz to hear about the important developments in Trump’s attacks on immigrants, how it’s playing out locally, and what’s next for the movement.

Friday, July 4th:

Rise and Represent Powwow – From 11:30 AM – 6 PM – Indigenous rights event coinciding with the 4th of July. Specifically, the event draws attention to the issue of missing and murdered indigenous women, children, and other family members. Attendees are encouraged to bring banners advocating for that cause. Denver March and Mobilization – 

This event is scheduled to occur a few hours after the Rise and Represent Powwow. Attendees will engage in a night march around downtown Denver, with previous marches, going along West Colfax Avenue. Slogans for the event are said to be “No Freedom from Oppressors” and “Colonizers Don’t Get an Independence Day”

Up With Palestine, Down With Palantir – From Noon – 4 PM – 1200 17th St, Denver, CO

Anti-war groups are rallying outside of the headquarters of Palantir, a data/software firm that collaborates with ICE and the federal government. The protest will include speeches, performances to demonstrate solidarity with people who have been either arrested or deported by ICE and the victims of the war in Gaza, it has been alleged that Palantir has worked with the Israeli government to use AI targeting in the conflict and concerns over war crimes. Saturday, July 5th: 

#TeslaTakedown in Littleton – From 11 AM-1 PM – 5700 S Broadway, Littleton, CO

This is another recurring event where activists protest billionaire Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and the richest man in the world, and his involvement in slashing public funds and federal departments. Activists plan to nonviolently protest his impact by demonstrating outside of local Tesla dealerships. More information can be found here
