At this tragic moment, you’d think it would be easy to find Republicans who would tell the Colorado Times Recorder why they regret voting for Donald Trump.

Alas, no. We’re having a tough time finding them.

So we’re offering a free “Repentant Trump Voter” sticker to any regretful Trump backer who will take the time to explain their thinking.

We want to know:

What did the Trump-separation process look like for you, and how long did it take? What was the tipping point?

How did it feel the moment you cut the cord? The day after?

Did you rush to tell people or keep it on the down-low initially?

Were you especially scared to break the news to your friends and family? Did your schism present problems at work? Did it strengthen some of your relationships? Did you make new friends? What’s the most memorable reaction you got?

Who do you credit, if anyone, for helping you drop Trump, and what did they say? Would you say you’re connection to Trump was like being in a cult?

Are you angry at yourself for your decision to vote for Trump? Or do you blame someone else, like Trump himself? Or the Democrats?

Do you feel guilty? Manipulated? Why did you vote for him in the first place?

Do you think there’s a GOP personality type who’s more likely to break with the president?

We know the repentant-Trump stories are out there. Jennifer Piggot, a former “MAGA junkie,” became disillusioned with Trump after being fired from the U.S. Treasury Department. There’s Maryland Pastor Heber D. Paredes, who prayed with Trump at the White House but jumped off the Trump boat when Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia was deported. TikTok has videos of people claiming remorse over their Trump vote, including a woman saying ICE picked up her undocumented dad. The “Leopards Ate My Face” subreddit has unverified stories.

One poll in April found 2% of Trump supporters regretted voting for him.

Still, our experience reflects this MSNBC headline: “Trump’s approval rating is low, but good luck finding those who regret their vote.” I asked Musk on X if he wished he hadn’t voted for Trump. No response. I

But we’re going to try to find them anyway because we want to tell their stories — and we know our audience wants to hear them.

We’re adding the “Repentant Trump Voter” sticker as a bonus — even though we’re not expecting people to flock to us for the stickers. But you never know, and they’d look beautiful on Teslas.

I put a mine on my computer, even though I didn’t vote for Trump. It goes anywhere with enough room for a bumper sticker.
