The Colorado Chamber of Commerce did not endorse Republican Matt Burcham in his state House race, breaking from an over 15-year-long tradition of the Chamber endorsing Republicans. While the Chamber did not officially give a reason for not endorsing, it could have something to do with Burcham’s involvement in the far-right election fraud conspiracy group “U.S. Election Integrity Plan”.
Aurora Sentinel: Who’s Afraid of Danielle Jurinsky?
A string of texts sent by Aurora City Councilor Danielle Jurinsky to her conservative colleagues indicates that Jurinsky’s relationship with the council is tumultuous. Greene writes: “Her public and private tirades have prompted two other council members to call for her censure.” In a series of threatening messages, Jurinsky hurled profanities and insults at her colleagues over the issue of taxes.
9News: Colorado Man sentenced for taking part in Capitol insurrection
Patrick Montgomery, a 51-year-old man from Douglas County, was sentenced to prison last Thursday for his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot. Montgomery was convicted in May of felony offenses of obstructing an official proceeding and assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers.
