Lakewood’s iconic Casa Bonita is nearly ready to open to the public.

Purchased in 2021 by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone for $3.1 million, the restaurant’s refurbishing is nearly complete. Adopting an ethos of “change nothing, improve everything,” Casa Bonita retains the classic look and feel of the 70s attraction, but with an updated kitchen and revamped interior. Led by James Beard-nominated Chef Dana Rodriguez, Casa Bonita’s menu will feature fresh, made-from-scratch menu items in a completely renovated kitchen.

Casa Bonita will soon re-open to the public with limited dinner hours. There will be no walk-ins. During this soft open period, guests will be selected exclusively from Casa Bonita’s email list. Folks hoping to secure a reservation can join the email list at CasaBonitaDenver.com.

Casa Bonita is located at 6715 West Colfax Avenue in Lakewood, Colorado. The 56,000 sq. ft. Mexican restaurant and immersive entertainment venue was first opened in 1974 by Bill Waugh and has been a popular tourist destination ever since. Casa Bonita was named a historic landmark in 2015 by the Lakewood Historical Society.
