Although the Daily Signal isn’t a “fake” news site by the definition, the article Colorado State Sen. Tim Neville (R-Littleton) is citing is intentionally misleading—cherry-picking a report that actually shows immigrants make a net-positive contribution to our country by the time they’ve lived here for a few generations.

Senator Neville seems to be hoping nobody actually reads beyond the headlines of his posts. If they did they might find out he and his cited source blatantly mischaracterize the report. Here’s the study they refer to.

Here’s the conclusion the report actually draws re cost of immigrants to taxpayers.

If Republicans like Neville were really interested in the truth or facts, they would not post blatant falsehoods. It is reckless and damages his credibility along with demonizing a whole group of people without any factual basis.
